Focus Medical has developed a best-in-class IPL based aesthetics device for hair removal, sun spots, acne reduction, rosacea and vascular lesions. Skin Rejuvenation/photofacial uses controlled pulsed light to treat sun damaged skin in a non-ablative manner. Similarily, hair removal treatments apply controlled pulses directed to the melanin in hair follicles, heats the follicles and destroys the hair at the root without damaging surrounding tissue. For vascular lesions and rosacea the NaturaLight system is able to target pigment (in this case blood) in small areas and deliver a specific wavelength in pulses that affects the vessel lining and causes them to constrict and fade.
